Paul became a Christian when he was 16 years old. It was then that he recognized that Jesus was the Lord of his life and personal saviour and he invited the Holy Spirit into his life. Soon after he got the call to preach the word of God and initially he answered this call through becoming a Methodist Local Preacher. He has now been preaching in various churches for over 25 years.
He has also been married to Lorraine for 25 years and they have one son, Chris, who is a commercial pilot living in Belgium.
Paul is currently working at Upton for half the week whilst completing studies in Theology at Bristol Baptist College. He has a heart for seeing the mission of Jesus taken into the community with a gospel message.
His other passion is football and he is a Brighton and Hove Albion Fan (he was a season ticket holder until he came to Upton). He is a sports fan in general but mainly watches from an arm chair.
Paul has been the Pastor at Upton Baptist Church since September 2010.
